Bournemouth manager Iraola: Leicester Cup defeat a bad day

Bournemouth manager Andoni Iraola admitted that his team did not have a good day in midweek.

The Cherries head coach described his side's exit from the FA Cup at the hands of Leicester City as not good enough.

However, he felt that given they created 27 shots and could not score, they could improve quickly enough.

After the 1-0 loss, he stated: “I think it's a bad day because we had hopes in this competition.

“But it's true also that if you play 120 minutes at home, you have the chances to attack that we had, and you don't score a goal, at the end you deserve to go out of the competition.

“We have been really bad in the last third, really bad.

“Because we recovered the ball very high and a lot of times even not only the shot, the last passes and we didn't decide well.

“At the end they made the difference. They scored from a very difficult position. That's the main reason they won."
