USA captain Tyler Adams could be in line for a Bournemouth debut.
The midfielder has not played since arriving late in the summer transfer window from Leeds United.
Adams, who left the relegated Elland Road club, will be hoping to assist the Cherries in avoiding a similar fate this term.
“If he trains well today, maybe we could put Tyler in the squad," manager Andoni Iraola said to reporters, ahead of his team's Carabao Cup game against Stoke City on Wednesday evening.
“I think he is doing really well. He wants to help and we have to take the decision after today's training.
“But I think and I hope he is available, at least to be with us on the bench."
