Bournemouth boss Iraola: I was wrong in first Man City game

Bournemouth boss Andoni Iraola says he's learned from their thrashing by Manchester City earlier this season.

The Cherries lost 6-1 on the day.

Ahead of the return fixture this weekend, Iraola told AS: "“The truth is that I was wrong in that game. We were not very aggressive and we held out at 0-0 for half an hour, but we lived very, very low and subdued.

"As soon as they scored first, the team began to fall. I hope we are better prepared (this time). I was surprised by the level of finishing they had against us, since they had eight shots on goal and scored six goals against us. But that is the level that the players at the top have.

"They know that when you make a mistake and leave them a choice, they can't forgive, and they don't forgive. Among many, that is the main reason they have won practically everything."

On Pep Guardiola, he added: "In the end, I don't know if he is the best coach or one of the best in the world, and having the opportunity to try things, to make the game difficult for him... It is one of the reasons why I am also here in the Premier League, to be able to face these types of coaches."
