Bournemouth boss Eddie Howe believes that Sam Surridge earning a call up to the England under-21s was a positive for everyone at the club.
The youngster got a chance to come off the bench for the under-21s against Slovenia in a friendly.
He got on the scoresheet in the game, showing that he is not out of place at that level. And Howe was delighted for the player.
"It was great to see," Howe told the Daily Echo.
"It's great for everyone connected with this club. Another player getting international recognition at a younger age group I think is a great moment for a lot of people who have done a lot of work with Sam down the years.
"And of course for Sam and his family, a very, very proud moment.
"To represent your country is the pinnacle and great to see him score as well, really nice."
