Bolton's Jaaskelainen keen on Celtic talks

The agent of Bolton Wanderers goalkeeper Jussi Jaaskelainen admits the Finn would welcome talks with Celtic.

Peter Harrison told The Herald: "I haven't yet spoken to Celtic about Jussi, but it's obviously a massive club and it would certainly appeal to him if he is to move on.

"The idea of playing in the Champions League and of winning trophies attracts him. You can't ignore a club like Celtic. I'm sure that, if he were to move to a club of that stature, he could settle in quickly as he is a very good pro.

"He has performed consistently well for Bolton over the past 10 years and is often spoken of as one of the top three keepers in the Premiership.

"However, he's used to playing week-in, week-out, so I doubt he'd be interested in moving to a club where he is not going to be first choice. At the moment, he's just focusing on doing well for Bolton until the end of his contract.

"Some clubs have made contact and we'll see what happens nearer the end of the season."
