Blackburn have put a hold on all contract talks until the end of the season.
The Rovers are currently deep in relegation zone so the club has decided to focus on the enormous task of staying alive in the top flight, rather than securing their players.
"Our whole focus has to be on staying up at the moment. That is what every single effort is being put into at the moment," chairman John Williams told the Lancashire Telegraph.
"We are not in contract discussions with any of our senior players at this moment, that will have to wait.
"The only contracts that are being talked about at the moment is for the youngsters, like offering Andy Haworth a new deal this week. We want to make sure we keep the best youngsters."
