Blackburn Rovers are favourites for NAC Breda striker Maceo Rigters.

The Mirror says 23-year-old, who dazzled in the Dutch triumph at the Under-21 European Championship, will check in for Rovers after accepting that they were the best career move - ahead of Newcastle and Celtic.

Rigters was also chased by Sam Allardyce and Gordon Strachan, but the chance to play in Blackburn's first team and be part of their European campaign was the main reason to pick Rovers.
