Birmingham City face a fresh battle to keep hold of Liam Ridgewell.
The likes of Blackburn Rovers, West Bromwich Albion and Fulham all tried for Ridgewell in the summer.
The Mirror says Southampton now plan to go back in for Ridgewell, after having a late bid for him rejected in August.
