Birmingham eager to deal in Wolves defender Sanderson

Birmingham City are eager to keep hold of Wolves defender Dion Sanderson.

The impressive centre back has been part of a Brum defence that boasts the second best defensive record in the Championship.

Wolves received bids over £1m from Sunderland in the summer window that were subsequently turned down.

However, Birmingham feel, with the inevitable sale of England U19 midfielder and Leeds target George Hall in January, they will have the necessary funds required to prise Sanderson away from Molineux, says the Daily Mail.

The 22-year old, who has had previous loan spells with Cardiff City, Sunderland and QPR, has made 19 appearances for Birmingham this season and scored once.
