Inter Milan hero Beppe Bergomi feels Walter Mazzarri can make the Napoli job a long-term success.
Bergomi believes Mazzarri can better handle the demands compared to predecessor Rudi Garcia.
He told Il Mattino: "There isn't too much time to work because you're always playing. If you want to affect athletic preparation you need to have weeks to load.
"Which Mazzarri am I seeing? He said that he has updated himself and it is true, but his strength must be in managing the group: he must restore tranquility and spirit.
"This is why he seems like the right man to me. Napoli must regain their confidence. With Garcia the team had a rejection, because he tried to bring changes that were not digested.
"In a group that has won you have to tiptoe in, little by little you have to change something."
