Rafa Benitez says he knows how to revive Chelsea's fortunes this season.
Benitez rejuvenated underdogs Valencia eight years ago when up against mighty Real Madrid.
He said: "When I was at Valencia we were seven or eight points behind in January. I was talking with Ayala, Canizares and Pellegrino and told them we would win the league.
"They thought I was crazy. But the way that we trained was key. And the way we train here is, too. I have confidence we will be better and better every single week."
A fixture pile-up is the biggest problem to Benitez's immediate plans.
He said: "The difficulty is that we come back on Monday and have to play Leeds on Wednesday, so we'll have to change quickly.
"Yesterday I was preparing the squad for Leeds.
"I have an idea of that squad but I cannot lose my focus - Monterrey was first and now it's Corinthians."
