Rafa Benitez has claimed Richarlison will not be a difference maker for Tottenham Hotspur because of the quality of their squad.

Benitez managed Richarlison at Everton and believes the Brazilian can become a 'key player' for Spurs, but will not have the same impact as he had at Goodison Park.

Asked whether he can make a big difference at Tottenham, Benitez told Football Daily: "I will give you the answer but you have to realise the answer - No. Why? Because they have so many good players that he cannot make the difference.

"But he will be a key player for them. He's a nice lad that you need to know how to manage. [Conte] has very good players there that he has to compete against. He made the difference at Everton because he was an important player, but at Tottenham he will be one of the most important players, not the one that will make the difference.

"When I say no, I don't want to say no in a negative way. I say no because they are so strong. They have [Heung-min] Son and Harry Kane up front with [Dejan] Kulusevski and Lucas [Moura]. They have good players, he will be one of these good players."
