Bayern Munich face Manchester United in tonight's Champions League opener with a cloud over coach Thomas Tuchel.
Tuchel is suspended for the game, with Anthony Barry, formerly on Chelsea's staff, to step in.
BILD says during the international break, Tuchel met with Bayern directors to discuss his public criticisms of their summer market campaign.
The German was told to be less negative and emotional when talking about his team in public. Management also made clear their concern his comments could be upsetting his players, and gave him a strict warning that he needed to change.
Tuchel has complained this season about Bayern missing out on Declan Rice, after he left West Ham for Arsenal. He was also left frustrated as a deadline day deal for Fulham midfielder Joao Palhinha fell through.
