Bayern Munich board and Tuchel at odds over Dier pursuit

Bayern Munich are exploring the prospect of bringing Tottenham defender Eric Dier to Germany in January.

Dier has been relegated to a reserve role under new manager Ange Postecoglou this season, though declined offers to leave over the summer.

BILD says Bayern have made a new centre-back the highest priority before the January window.

Trevoh Chalobah, of Chelsea, is considered to be coach Thomas Tuchel's first choice, but Bayern Munich's management doubts whether the 24-year-old is the right player.

For that reason, the club's board are investigating the possibilities of bringing in Dier this winter.

And Bayern know they can lean on Harry Kane to speak with Dier should they decide to press on with a move.
