Newcastle United are preparing to put in a bid for Bayer Leverkusen winger Moussa Diaby.

The French attacker has been linked with a move away from the club for the past year.

Per Bild, Diaby dreams of signing for Newcastle, given their new wealth and the upward trajectory of the team.

The 23-year-old has scored six goals in 15 games so far this season for Leverkusen.

Meanwhile, the Magpies are in third position in the Premier League after an outstanding start to the campaign.

A move for Diaby would add depth and quality to manager Eddie Howe's frontline.
