BASEL: FC Basel kept alive their hopes of pushing through to the next phase of the Champions League with a narrow 1-0 win at home over Romanian outfit Club-Napoca.
The Swiss champs scored the only goal of the match through Federico Almerares in the 15th minute despite having over 20 shots on goal but they got the result they were looking for ahead of the final group stage match where they will have to beat group leaders Bayern Munich and hope Cluj can overcome second-placed AS Roma on December 7.
