Aston Villa teenager Louie Barry wants to find his place in the first team before the season ends.
The 16-year-old has arrived from Barcelona six months after joining them from West Bromwich Albion.
There is some furore at the Baggies about the transfer, but Barry is only concerned about becoming a first team player.
While he is an academy signing, the player admitted he has talked with the first team coaches and players.
Speaking to Birmingham Live, he said: “What I want to do first at Villa is play really well and go up the ranks.
“My main ambition is to be in the first team by the end of the season.
“Dean Smith was excited for me to come in.
“I have spoken to all of the first-team players."
