Barcelona management are concerned with the emergence of Newcastle United as a force in the world's transfer market.

Newcastle's new owners are set to launch a signing spree as they seek to build a title challenging team over the coming months.

El Chiringuito says Newcastle's early search for talent has led them to Barca and their attempts to secure Ousmane Dembele to a new contract.

Given their financial situation, Barca are pushing Dembele to accept a pay-cut in order to re-sign - which is the opposite to what Newcastle are capable of offering.

As such, Barca management now fear losing Dembele in a straight contract shootout with the Toon. The France attacker's current deal expires in June.
