Barcelona striker Robert Lewandowski has been slammed for his gesture towards teenage teammate Lamine Yamal during victory over Alaves.
Lewandowski remonstrated with Yamal for not passing to him inside the Alaves penalty area when he was free from his marker.
When Yamal sought to ease the tension by offering his hand to the Pole, Lewandowski ignored his young teammate.
After the game, Gerard López, the former Barça player, described the behaviour as “unacceptable" on Movistar Plus. On Esport 3, Gerard Autet also criticised the veteran player's action.
“Things like this happen, but it is disproportionate, a bad reaction," said Autet.
Authoritative voices from the press also attacked the Pole. Lluís Flaquer, narrator of Barça's matches for Carrusel, spoke of an action “out of place" and Joan María Pou, narrator of the games in RAC-1, posted on Twitter: “This ugly guy is not worthy of a good leader."
The director of Carrusel, Dani Garrido, directly called it “regrettable".
