Barcelona president Joan Laporta has declared interest in Bayern Munich defender Benjamin Pavard.

The Frenchman has publicly declared a willingness to leave Bayern in 2023, much to the chagrin of management.

And Laporta has publicly expressed interest in signing the World Cup winner.

"Pavard is a real option for us," he said.

"His contract will expire in 2024 and he wants to leave Bayern. He would be an excellent reinforcement for our defence."
