Barcelona great Rivaldo admits he was expecting more from Antoine Griezmann.

Griezmann is in his first season at Barca after arriving from Atletico Madrid for €120m.

"A greater impact was expected of a world champion well adapted to Spanish football, especially this season in which (Philippe) Coutinho himself is no longer there, Suárez is not there or Dembélé does not play due to injury. His first season reminds me of Coutinho," Rivaldo wrote for Betfair.

"We must wait for him to adapt a little more to Barcelona, its style and tactical system. He has quality to spare to perform at a good level.

"Griezmann has to commit a little more to really reach his best football and become a decisive player in (Quique) Setien's plans."
