Barcelona director Guillermo Amor insists coach Ernersto Valverde is safe.

There's talk of Valverde facing the sack after their surprise Supercopa de Espana semifinal defeat to Atletico Madrid in Jeddah.

Asked about the rumours in the aftermath of the 3-2 loss, Amor told RAC1: "We are thinking about today's game.

"It has really bothered us to lose, but we continue, this is a very long season, it is the first competition of the year, in the others we are well positioned and we are moving forward.

"There is full confidence in the team, in the players and in the coach."
