Barcelona coach Ernesto Valverde insists they won't write off Real Madrid.

Just as Barca were winning at Getafe, Real Madrid were being beaten at home to Real Sociedad.

Asked about Madrid's crisis, Valverde said: "They're still there, mathematics does not rule them out and we have to be prudent.

"We know the competitive gene of Madrid and we cannot rule out anyone.

"It's a long journey, and there are other rivals like Sevilla and Atlético Madrid that will always make it complicated."
