Barcelona coach Luis Enrique defended Andre Gomes after victory over Leganes.

Gomes was whistled when he was taken off for Andres Iniesta after Leganes had drawn level at 1-1.

"I don't understand the whistles at Andre Gomes," Luis Enrique told Movistar after the game.

"I understand fans whistle me after result the other day. That's part of my job. But not the players, they should be supported."

The Barça boss added: "It's evident that the team's lacking confidence. The situation is that. We knew it would be a tough game, but the truth is that everything looked well after an early goal.

"However, later they got back into the game when they had nothing to lose."
