Barcelona are closing a deal for Chelsea winger Tudor Mendel-Idowu.

Jijantes says Barca sports chief Deco has raided Chelsea's academy for Mendel-Idowu.

The youngster has committed to a three-year contract to 2026.

The 18 year-old Mendel-Idowu will initially be registered with Rafa Marquez's Barca Atletic team.

Mendel-Idowu's grandfather is a former Nigeria international, while he was an England U17 regular.
