Barry Bannan is sorry Aston Villa are losing teammate Carlos Cuellar.

Bannan wishes his departing team-mate all the best and believes he will easily find a new club in Britain or abroad on a Bosman free transfer.

"He's been brilliant and I'm sure there be a lot of clubs after him," said Bannan.

"Knowing that he's on a free as well, that should help him so hopefully he can get the right move for him and go and have a good last couple of years in his career.

"He's been a great servant for the club and having him in and around the dressing room every single day brings a smile to your face.

"He's always happy no matter what happens and he's loud and bubbly. I think it will be a big loss to the club."
