Ballack: Why I chose Chelsea over Man Utd

Former Chelsea and Bayern Munich midfielder Michael Ballack has explained rejecting Manchester United.

Ballack has revealed he has no regrets over his decision to join Chelsea instead of United.

"They [Man Utd] were a little bit better than us for my first three years, especially winning the Champions League," the German told Sky Sports.

“It was a tight match and there was this [un]lucky moment when you slip [John Terry in the penalty shootout]. But this is football and it's not something you can explain after, or say this is right and this is wrong.

“This is football. It's really tight and making decisions... these were decisions on a high level for me.

“The decision to go to Man United or Chelsea at 29 was not something I regret because [in hindsight] we wanted one title less or more."
