Despite his Champions League heroics, Ryan Babel is up for sale at Liverpool.

The Sunday Mirror says Liverpool boss Rafa Benitez will also look to find a buyer for Babel, who has failed to meet expectations since joining the Reds for £12m at the same time.

Only yesterday, ex-Reds captain Alan Hansen urged Benitez to give Babel an extended first team run.

But the Liverpool manager needs to generate funds for new recruits.
