Frank Lampard already has the date set in his diary as he embarks on the next chapter of his football career.
?The 36-year old midfielder will leave Manchester City this summer to move to MLS expansion franchise New York City FC and is excited that his shift to North America coincides with Liverpool legend Steven Gerrard's.
?NYCFC meet Gerrard's LA Galaxy in August in what will be a monumental moment for soccer in the USA and Lampard is enthusiastic about the prospect.
?"August 23rd - it's at their place," said Lampard of the clash at the StubHub Centre in Carson, California. "It's the day after my daughter's birthday so I should know.
?"We get on very well, particularly in our latter years, as captain and vice-captain of England. I've a huge amount of respect for him and look forward to getting up against him out there.
