Thiago Motta enjoyed an impressive debut for Atletico Madrid in yesterday's 0-0 friendly draw against Zamora.

The ex-Barcelona midfielder said afterwards: "I am satisfied with the game that I have played because it is the first time this season I've played 90 minutes. I will return to my regular pace, my intensity and will try to improve the game of my teammates.

"I now am with Atletico, not Barcelona. I am not going to speak about (Barca president Joan) Laporta, everything that has been done is now in the past."
