Atletico Madrid striker Alvaro Morata recognises why many say he is valued more abroad than by fans in Spain.
The former Juventus and Chelsea striker is Spain's leading scorer at the World Cup.
He said: "I am clear why they say that, but what worries me is doing my job well. I am only interested in being valued and respected in the National Team and in Atleti, which is my team.
"In the end I can't control the rest. But this does not happen only in Spain. For example in Italy it happens with Ciro Immobile, who has been Bota de Oro and the player with the most goals in the history of Lazio... When I was in Italy I saw myself reflected in him, because when he went with his country, perhaps due to the way Italy plays, well, he didn't score so many goals and people judged him just for that.
"Nowadays anyone has a mobile and can make a criticism. In the end, the journalists who have been watching players, championships for so long ..., because you have a respectable criterion. But today anyone can be critical from home."
