Atletico Madrid signing Diego Costa is confident of forming an exciting partnership wth Antoine Griezmann.

During today's presentation to Atletico fans at the Wanda Metropolitano, the former Chelsea striker was asked about the prospect of playing with Griezmann.

Costa stated: "I'm excited by the idea of playing again. I waited the necessary time before arriving at this moment to be able to play again.

"The training sessions put you in shape, but nothing beats the matches. I get on well with Griezmann, Torres, Gameiro, and the team's forwards in general. It's not because they have not scored for a while that I will arrive and solve everything. These are moments that happen.

"I am fit to play with Griezmann and Torres. I know there is a lot of competition, but it will be healthy competition."
