Atletico Madrid president Cerezo ready to sell up

Atletico Madrid president Enrique Cerezo is ready to sell the club.

So says Okdiario's chief pundit Eduardo Inda, when speaking on El Chiringuito.

He stated: "The hard core of Atlético, formed by Miguel Ángel Gil and Cerezo, have the deadline to sell the entity next year, on June 30.

"They are associated within the share capital of Atletico with Ares, who are Americans, and the idea is to sell the entity, the 70% they have, of that 70%, 60% is held by Gil Marín and Cerezo. It is about 45% of the club."

Inda also said: "They have tried to sell it on several occasions, though no offers have satisfied them.

"When Miguel Ángel Gil entered it was an important team, but naked and without organisation. Jesús Gil did not have an organised structure. And now it's a team that has a top stadium. It is a team that has been a finalist in the Champions League."
