Atletico Madrid midfielder Axel Witsel says they're going for a second-place finish.

As Atletico were winning at Cadiz, Real Madrid were being beaten at Real Sociedad this week.

"The second part of the season is being much better than the first, but the past is the past, we played a very good game and now we are second," said Witsel.

"Of course we could have done better, but we can't change it anymore.

"I think whether it's Real Madrid or another, the goal of being second is important.

"I feel good, I started playing and then I went through another period with fewer minutes, but I always train hard to try to change things and when I didn't play the team was very good and it was difficult to enter. But I was always focused and prepared for when it was my turn. But my happiness was the same before as now."
