From Arsenal to Valencia: Trippier urging whizkid Musah to choose England over USA

Atletico Madrid fullback Kieran Trippier is working on Valencia midfielder Yunus Musah on England's behalf.

An England U18 international, Musah turned 18 this week and last month twice played for the USA in friendlies against Wales and Panama.

USA soccer officials have assured Musah of a place in next year's Olympics squad and also a future with an exciting young team, including Chrisian Pulisic, Sergino Dest, Gio Reyna and Tim Weah.

Former Arsenal trainee Musah came away from the camp impressed, though hasn't fully committed to Team USA.

And after defeat to Atletico on the weekend, Musah was seen in deep conversation with Trippier, reports AS. The England fullback detailed to Musah what it means to play for the Three Lions and the potential of working under coach Gareth Southgate.

Tripper was positive and upbeat during the chat - which has left Musah now rethinking his international future yet again.

Born in New York, USA, Musah was raised in London and came through Arsenal's academy system before leaving for Valencia last year. He has been capped by England from U15-18 level.
