Atletico Madrid coach Simeone rues lack of aggression for Almeria draw

Atletico Madrid coach Diego Simeone says they lacked aggression for yesterday's 2-2 draw with Almeria.

Luka Romero, on-loan from Lazio, scored twice for Almeria, with Atletico netting through Angel Correa and Rodrigo de Paul.

Simeone said: "We started very well, we had Barrios' play that he cannot control, that of Memphis... They were very clear to continue leading the game, we were weak in the goals they scored against us, we did not have the solidity that those actions need and then also in Melero's, which could have cost us the game.

"In attack we had chances, but we need to improve the defensive plot, but the goal will come.

"We could have had the clearest situations, we could not be forceful, I liked the energy with which the team played. They always looked for themselves, I am with them to the death, I like the intention they had, we lacked forcefulness.

"The only thing I can explain is that the coach prepares the away games poorly, the responsibility is always mine. There are many games."
