Atletico Madrid coach Diego Simeone insists his players can beat Inter Milan tomorrow.

Atletico will host the second-leg of their Champions League round 16 tie trailing 1-0 on aggregate.

Simeone said: "I absolutely trust my players and my team and I know that tomorrow is going to be a good game.

"I have very clear ideas, understanding everything that is happening to us. Until the game against Bilbao at home we had a very good season. In the Cup semi-final, competing in the League, having lost 1-0 to the best team in Europe away from home (Inter). Given the opportunity to have our revenge, in the four, five games the team has not maintained the level it had and football does not forgive when you make a mistake.

"I don't have much to talk about. I don't have to talk too much. I trust one hundred percent in the players and my team. I know they are going to play a good game.

"On Saturday night I slept badly but on Sunday the sun came out and up, ahead. Go forward knowing what I have, trusting in my players, knowing the team we are going to use to face a great rival."
