Atletico Madrid coach Diego Simeone is fighting to keep hold of Rodrigo.

AS says Simeone has held emergency talks with Manchester City target Rodrigo.

The midfielder has been linked with a summer move to the Premier League and is understood to have an offer on the table from Pep Guardiola's side.

The 22-year-old met with Simeone on Thursday as the Argentinian manager looks to convince him to remain at the Wanda Metropolitano.

City are willing to pay €70m to bring Rodrigo to England.
