Atletico Madrid coach Diego Simeone has mocked the annual football awards.

Simeone says Thibaut Courtois being named Goalkeeper of the Year after moving to Real Madrid is the perfect illustration of the bias.

He explained: "Courtois went to Real Madrid and it earned him to be the best goalkeeper in the world, when Courtois was with us, it's (Keylor) Navas who won with Levante (best goalkeeper Liga 13/14).

"You already know no? In this world of football everyone is where he is and everyone needs to know where he is and what goes with it.

"When we know where we are and how it goes, we live better."
