Atletico Madrid director Miguel Angel Gil Marin admits they're chasing Real Madrid outcast James Rodriguez.

James has been urged to leave Real after two seasons away on-loan.

“I know that many Atletico Madrid fans would like James and that our Coach likes him too," Gil Marin told Sport.

“We know James doesn't want to stay at Real Madrid and that Real Madrid do not want him to remain either.

“It would be nice to bring him here, but we need different circumstances to fit together for that to happen. It depends on the Real Madrid President."
