Atletico Madrid chief Miguel Angel Gil Marin admits they're seeking a striker signing for January.

Los Rojiblancos have been heavily linked with Paris Saint-Germain's Edinson Cavani in recent days.

"We're looking at the transfer market, although we have little margin to manoeuvre because we've designated almost 90 percent of additional income into the squad and this is a barbarity for Financial Fair Play," Gil Marin told Cadena SER.

"From there, we're going to analyse all the transfer situations that we can carry out because we have to bear in mind that Diego Costa isn't going to be fit until the end of February and we're talking about 18 games [until then].

"Now we only have Alvaro Morata.

"Even though we're very limited, we'd like to qualify for the Champions League again, get through against Liverpool in the knockout stage and win the Supercopa de Espana."
