Atletico Madrid are interested in signing Manchester United defensive midfielder Nemanja Matic.

The veteran is out of favor this season under Ole Gunnar Solskjaer, with Scott McTominay usually preferred in the holding role.

Matic is needed at United for cover this season, but he can sign a pre-contract with another club outside England in January.
