Atletico boss Simeone gives Diego Costa ultimatum

Diego Simeone has reportedly told Atletico Madrid to make a key summer signing if they want to keep him as manager.

According to the Daily Star, the Argentine has informed Atleti officials that they must sign Diego Costa from Chelsea for him to remain as Los Rojiblancos boss.

Simeone admits his future at the Vicente Calderon is clouded following Atletico's loss to Real Madrid in the Champions League final on Saturday night but the club can avoid a premature departure of their esteemed coach provided they land his number one strike target.

Costa departed Atleti for Chelsea in the summer of 2014 but is understood that Simeone desperately wants to work with the Brazil-born Spaniard again.

Incoming Blues boss Antonio Conte wants to keep Costa but the 27-year-old is reportedly open to a La Liga return if a suitable deal can be arranged with Atletico.
