Giancarlo Maldonado of Mexican club Atlante is set to join MLS club Chivas USA on loan according to reports.

The Venezuelan striker is believed to be close to an agreement with the Goats but it is uncertain exactly what the details are.

27-year old Maldonado kicked off his career in Argentina with River Plate in 1999 and since then has spent time at Tachira, Guayano, Maracaibo, O'Higgins and Xerez.
