Athletic Bilbao striker Nico Williams was delighted scoring in their 4-0 win against Rayo Vallecano.

The match marked Williams' first since signing a new deal to 2027 with Athletic.

"I practice the goal a lot in training because the coach insists and tells me to make this play and take advantage of it," he said.

"We didn't expect a match with such a big result because we had a difficult opponent ahead of us.

"Europe is a target to which we have to reach little by little and game by game. Hopefully next year we can be in European competitions."
