Atalanta midfielder Ederson: We want to go far as possible in Europe

Atalanta midfielder Ederson insists they're capable of winning the Europa League.

La Dea defeated Sturm Graz 1-0 on Thursday.

Ederson later said, "There are always many things to improve. Last time he (coach Gian Piero Gasperini) said I had to improve offensively and I scored a few goals. Others where I missed a few crosses, there are a few things to improve.

"When the coach makes me play up front I felt good. I think there's no need to change too much.

"The coach tells us that we have to be physically fit. There are always opportunities, we can't always score goals. The important thing is to stay there, in their area. When we have more opportunities it's better because we're on the right path."

Asked about personal and team expectations, Ederson added: "Certainly go as far forward as possible in Europe. In the championship we want to look at who is in front of us. There are many games but I think we are on the right path. But, as mentioned, there are many things to improve."
