Atalanta goalkeeper Carnesecchi details double penalty save from Pinamonti

Atalanta goalkeeper Marco Carnesecchi has detailed how he saved Andrea Pinamonti's penalty in victory over Sassuolo.

Carnesecchi saved the spotkick twice after it was retaken by the striker.

He said, "I know Andrea from the Under 20s, he takes the penalty to cross and therefore knowing each other I thought he would do the opposite thing.

"I saved the first one, I thought he was on the safe side with the second and so I thought he crossed and I dived from the opposite side. Then I don't know, you should ask him, but I think he made this reasoning.

"I send him a big hug, he's a very good boy and I know how difficult it is to miss two penalties in a row.

"I want to thank my teammates, they do an exceptional job. We concede few shots on goal, they do a great job and then if I can help them I'm always happy to do so."
