Atalanta coach Gian Piero Gasperini admits he received interest from Saudi Arabia over the summer.

Gasperini and Atalanta were considering their options towards the end of last season before ultimately agreeing to continue together this term.

He said, "There was the possibility but I wasn't ready mentally and I already had a commitment.

"It's not a flash in the pan, they know what they want and have enormous availability. I would only go with the conviction of bringing something new.

"Beyond the money, it would be the crowning achievement of my career."
