Atalanta chief exec Luca Percassi says coach Gian Piero Gasperini has been secured for next season.

In a wide-ranging interview, Percassi says an agreement to 2025 with Gasperini was settled over the summer.

He said, "When we had the meeting at the beginning of June it was decided in this sense..."

On their market plans, Percassi also said: "I have to say thanks to the owners, to Antonio Percassi and Steven Pagliuca, for their availability on the market. The numbers speak for themselves: unprecedented investments which are also the largest in Atalanta's history.

"The objective is also to strengthen the team available to Gasperini in the future.

"A defender in January? I won't go into detail because things can change, but I repeat: the ownership's objective is to always try to strengthen the team."
