Aston Villa boss Tim Sherwood still retains an interest in Tottenham winger Andros Townsend.

According to the Daily Mail, Sherwood wants to bring some British talent to Villa Park and Townsend is one of the players that interests him.

The England international has previously played under Sherwood at Tottenham, but a move to Villa Park looks unlikely as the player himself wants to give his Spurs career every chance

The 24-year-old winger has scored three goals in 42 leagues for Spurs during the last two seasons and is desperate to force his way into Mauricio Pochettino's first team at White Hart Lane.
